George Day Dies at Little Genesee
LITTLE GENESEE-- George Edward Day died at his home in Little Genesee, Monday Sept. 9, 1946. Born in Bolivar, January 8, 1880, the son of George F. and Emmogene Wakefield Day, he had been a resident of Little Genesee for the past twenty years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lydia Sherwood Day,: two daughters, Miss Emmogene day, Little Genesee and Mrs Keith Shelly, Wellsville: five sons, George C. Day, Allegany; Guy Day, Shinglehouse; Clyde Day, Portville; Fred Day, Bradford; and Clifford Day Little Genesee; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Lord, Wilmington Del.
Funeral sefrvices will ne held Thursday afternoon (Sept. 12, 1946) at the home at one-thirty o'clock and at two o'clock at the Richburg Baptist Church.
The Rev W. M. Mason will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn, Bolivar.
