Get Involved in local history!

Of course, becoming a Member of Allegany County Historical Society is the most obvious way to become involved.  If you click the "Become a Member" tab you can learn about how to become a member and the various membership categories which may provide you with your choice of type you prefer.

You may be able to "Give a Gift" to the Society or want more information on "Planned Giving".....just click the appropriate tab for the answers.

Most importantly, ACHS can only survive and thrive by the work of the many volunteers and the donations of collections by individuals to the Society.

Volunteers are the lifeline of our Society.  If you can offer a few hours toward our required work we will be very grateful.  We have need of people who will just help keep our resources open to the public by working in our Society offices.  We also have need of people who can help on our computers, even if only typing/keyboarding material for our records.  We need researchers, file management people, and general office help.  Can you volunteer a few hours to help us?
