As I visited, I chuckled at the invitation for ice cream at the outside entrance from the old sign formerly belonging to "Cretekos Bros." of Wellsville. (below)
Several people (you know who you are) are to be congratulated for the "new - old" look at the Museum. From the time you enter the front door you see bright and cheery items which show a little something for everyone.
Hundreds of items are now openly and well displayed for viewing and to help learn a little more history about our locality.
Above (standing, center, facing camera) is Jane Pinney, former President of Thelma Rogers Genealogical & Historical Society. Seated is long-time member, Don LaForge, along with visitors during an open house a few years ago.
Upstairs, in addition to many historical display items, is a rather large collection of family histories, genealogical books for research and historical printed material for reference. Residents of the area are encouraged to contact and visit during the open hours of the Museum to work on their own family genalogies. A copy of your family history would be welcomed to add to the shelf for sharing with other researchers!
