ALBERT D. GLOVER

The funeral services for Albert D. Glover of Elmira, a former resident of Portville who passed away at his home there Friday were held at two-thirty o’clock at the Methodist Episcopal Church Monday.  The Rev. Arthur Partington officiated and burial was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.  The pall bearers were:  N.A. Trenkle, Henry Jacoby, Clair Ludden, C.S. Greenman, S. T. Caneen and John F. Nagel.

Mr. Glover is survived by his wife Mrs. Elizabeth Glover, one daughter Mrs. Beatrice Hand, two sons Arthur Glover and Carl Glover, and one granddaughter, Beverly Glover, all of Elmira, also one brother.

While a resident of Portville Mr. Glover was associated with Smith Parish in the hardware and furniture business.  He was a trustee of the Methodist Episcopal Church for many years, church treasurer and president of the Epworth Legue.  He was a teacher of the Philathea Class.  This class attended the funeral in a body.  There was a large attendance of relatives and friends from Canaseraga, Hornell and other nearby towns.
