ANDOVER-- Fred L. VanCurren of Chestnut St.., died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ruby Kemp in Belividere early Sunday morning after a long illness.
He was born Dec. 11, 1884 in Wellsville and was a son ofOren and Elvira Williams Van Curren. Mr. Van Curren lived most of this life in this vicinity and was an oil field worker for many years.
He was married May 15, 1905 to Mary Pire Van Curren who died on April 13, 1965.
Survivors include two sons; Floyd of Clyde, Earl of Newark; six daughters, Mrs Lena Hilliard of Bolivar, Mrs. Grace Bostwick of Andover, Mrs. Ruby Kemp and Mrs. Edna Hildreth of Belmont, Mrs. Clara Coates of Andover and Mrs Jean Alexander of Newark; one sister Mrs Clara Campbell of Buffalo; 5 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Willard Ashley of the Baptist Church will officiate at funeral services at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon form the James Mulholland Funeral Home, Burial in Hillside Cemetery.
