FLOYD A. THOMPSON
BIRDSALL-Floyd A. Thompson of Birdsall died Friday morning (January 12, 1962) at the Cuba Nursing Home following a long illness. He was 61 years old. A native and lifelong resident of the area, he served as a justice of the peace of Town of Birdsall for many years and for about 10 years was night watchman at the Stern and Stem Textile plant in Hornell.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mildred Gates Thompson; four daughters, Mrs. Onnolee Allen of Wellsville, Mrs. Vinitha Earle and Mrs. Fay Clancy of Canaseraga, and Mrs, Hazel Herdman of Penn Yann; one brother, Howard Thompson of Nunda; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Weir of Friendship and Mrs. Dorothy Shute of Florida.
The body is at the family home on the Kenny Swamp road. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Monday at the Garwoods Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Canaseraga cemetery.
