CARL E. SAXTON
CANASERAGA-Carl E. Saxton, 71, of Barco, N.C., a former Canaseraga resident, died this morning in Elizabeth City, N.C., after a brief illness. Mr. Saxton was employed 25 years at the former Canaseraga Bank until retiring in 1971. He was a member of Canaseraga Larger Parish Church and the Masonic Lodge in Canaseraga.
An Army veteran of World War II, he also belongs to Currituck Masonic Lodge No. 463 in North Carolina. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. [Regina?] Martin Saxton, and three cousins.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Mann Funeral Home, Canaseraga, where a service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Canaseraga Cemetery.
