Franklin Sanford
Franklin Sanford, 79 years old, died on Monday evening at 9 o'clock at the home of his son, LaVerne Sanford, in Bishopville. Mr. Sanford had been in poor health for several years. He has lived in that vicinity practically his entire .life and was very well known.
Besides the son with whom he lived, he is survived by a son, Adelbert Sanford, of Almond, two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Saxton of Canaseraga and Mrs. Mae Thompson of Grove. One sister, Mrs. Kittie VanVranken, 14 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
The funeral will be held from the home of La Verne Sanford on Thursday afternoon at 1 o'clock and from the Bishopville church at 2 o'clock. Burial will take place in the Bishopvile cemetery. August 27, 1917.
