Hallsport- Emma L. Perkins, 77, of the Hallsport Road, was ushered into the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday (Jan. 24, 2006) at Jones Memorial Hospital. She was born June 1, 1928, in Wellsville, the daughter of Raymond and Nellie (Mead) Dickinson. She was a graduate of Wellsville High School and had been employed as a sales clerk at the Big N, Grants and the K-Mart department stores all in Wellsville. She was a former member of the Wellsville C&MA Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Judy L. Perkins of Hallsport; two sons, Roger L. (Titiz) Perkins of Ithaca, and Brian L. Perkins of Wellsville; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Luella Keim of Florida, Rae Crow of Texas, and Reba Rindal of California; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Fanny Bunt, and Marion Heath.
There will be no visitation. Services will be held in the C&MA Church in Wellsville on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Sommerfeld of the Gospel Chapel in Whitesville, officiating. Burial will be in the Hallsport Cemetery in the town of Willing. The family suggests memorials be made to a charity of their choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mulholland-Crowell Funeral Home of Wellsville.
