Rossburg - Erwin C. Howden of 5903 W River Road died Tuesday Jan 18, 1994 in his home after a brief illness.
Born Sept 10 1921 in Fillmore, he was a son of Leon and Ethel Culver Howden. He was married to the former Betty J. Burr, who died in 1979.
Mr. Howden was a retired electrician for the Genesee State Park Region in Castile.
We was a member of the National Rifle Association and VFW Post 8926 and was a Navy veteran of WWII.
Surviving are a son, Martin (Kim) Howden, and a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Cindy) Largey, both of Rossburg, three grandsons, a sister Mrs. Virginia Sandwick of Owego and several nieces and nephews.
Friends were received Thursday from 3 – 5 and 7 – 9 at the Kopler Williams Funeral home, Fillmore where funeral services were held Friday Jan 21, 1994 at 1 pm. The Rev. Alan G. Howe pastor of the Fillmore Untied Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in East Koy Cemetery, Pike.
