Mrs. Sophia Deming Fish
Passed Away at the Home of her Son Near Inavale.
Sophia Deming Fish, daughter of Lyman and Polly Deming was born in Scio, August 22nd, 1830. She was married to George S. Fish Feb. 10th, 1849, by Rev. J. Kenyon, of Andover. For two years they lived on the Brimmer Brook and then moved to the place where she lived at the time of her death.
One sister, Mrs. F. P. Robinson, of Andover, and one son, Frank Fish, with whom she lived, and other relatives survive her, her husband and two daughters having died some years previously.
She passed away Monday evening, Jan. 23rd, 1905, at the home of her son, and family near Inavale, who tenderly cared for her in her last illness, which lasted about eight weeks. During this time her sufferings were terrible, but she endured them with amazing patience and Christian fortitude.
The funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 25th, 1905, at the church on Knights Creek, conducted by the Rev. J. R. Tallent, of Allentown. In Terment in Knights Creek cemetery.
