Mrs. LeMur Ferrington
Portville – Mrs. LeMur Ferrington of 16 Anderson Court, died Thursday (Aug. 6, 1970) in the Olean General Hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Ferrington was born in Bitumin, Pa., May 11, 1905, a daughter of August and Anna Johnson Gustafson. On Dec. 1, 1923, at West Clarksville, she married LeMur Ferrington, who survives. She had resided in Portville for the past 30 years. Mrs. Ferrington was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church of Portville. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Louis (Eloise) Kurek of Kenmore; three grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Hulda DeGroff of Portvile. Friends may call at the Guenther Funeral Home Inc., 51 Main St., Portville, Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monday (Aug. 10, 1970) in the Bethel Lutheran Church of Portville at 2 p.m. The Rev. Richard W. Elliot, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Portville.
