Mrs. Oliver S. Blackman

Allentown – Mrs. May T. Blackman of  17563 Caroline Acres, Henderson, MD died Saturday at the Easton Memorial Hospital, MD, after a brief illness.

She was born on Nov 22, 1895, the daughter of Frank and Alice Clark Tourttelotte, in West Chicago, IL.  She attended Wheaton College in Illinois.

On Aug 22, 1917, she married Oliver S. Blackman who predeceased her on Nov 16, 1976.  She had lived in Allentown since 1917, moving to live with her daughter in Maryland just over a year ago.  She had taught school in this area for 22 years.

She was a life long member of the former Allentown Rebekah Lodge.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. R. R. Michael (Jane) Strum of Henderson MD, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the J. W. Embser and Sons Funeral Home in Wellsville from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today, where funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday.  The Rev. William Atkins, pastor at the Wellsville United Methodist Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
