Jabish Odell was born in Rensselaer county, in 1794, and came to Alfred in 1816. The year previous to his removal (1815) he married Miss Betsy Odell of Rensselaer county. She died in 1870, aged seventy-eight. Mr. Odell is a farmer, owning one hundred and twenty-five acres of land.
