Orlando E. P. Kaple, a native of Otsego county, was born in 1817, and came to Alfred in 1836, from Erwin, Steuben county. In 1839 he married Miss Rhoda Lamphere, of Almond. They belong to the Methodist Church. They have a family of four children, having lost five.
