Frank M. Beya was born in Hector, Tompkins county, in 1842, and came to Alfred with his parents in 1850. He married Miss Hattie M. Burdick, of Alfred, in 1864. The same year Mr. Beya enlisted in Company I, 179th NY infantry, and was wounded at the battle of Petersburg, June 17th, 1864.
