One Man Instantly Killed and Another Injured On The Tom Love Lease, Clarksville
Cuba, March 14. - One man killed and one man injured was the result of a heavy wind Friday afternoon in Clarksville, five miles from Cuba.
Archie McDrager and Fred Holmes were engaged on the Tom Love lease, M. M. Coughdon farm, in the erection of an oil derrick. It had been carried to its full height and the men were a considerate distance from the ground when the wind blew the derrick to the ground. McDrager was instantly killed and Holmes was considerably injured. Dr. Congdon was summoned from this village to attend Holmes.
McDrager was in the employ of Cassius Congdon. He is survived by a wife and one child. He was about 26 years old and had live in Clarksville, since childhood.
